布赖恩·卡斯特罗 (BrianCastro ,195 0— ) ,著名华裔澳大利亚作家 ,出版过《候鸟》、《追踪中国》、《双狼》、《随波逐流》、《波默罗伊》和《斯苔珀》等六部小说 ,一部论文集。六部小说中 ,有四部曾获澳大利亚的各种奖项 ,其中《候鸟》影响最大 ,曾获得 1982年《澳大利亚人报》福格尔文学大奖。《双狼》获 1991年《时代》报小说奖。《追踪中国》获 1993年度万斯·帕尔默小说奖。《斯苔珀》获 1997年班若小说奖。现正从事一部与其家族早年在上海经历有关的小说创作。以下是笔者 2 0 0 1年 9月 11日对这位著名作家进行的采访内容。
Brian Castro (195 0-), a famous Australian writer in Australia, has published “Migratory Birds”, “Tracing China,” “Two Wolves,” “Drift,” “Pomeroy,” and “ Moss ”and other six novels, a collection of essays. Among the six novels, four have won various awards in Australia. Among them, “Migratory Birds” has the greatest influence and won the Fogel Award for Literature in The Australian Daily News. “Two Wolves” won the 1991 “Times” newspaper novel award. Tracing China won the 1993 Vance Palmer Novel Award. Smither won the 1997 Classics Novel Award. He is currently working on a novel written by his family in Shanghai in his early years.
