同心县有22万人口广回族占79％。这里是地广人稀、经济条件差、文化教育事业非常落后的干旱山区。 要振兴同心,建设山区,发展民族教育是件大事。多年来,在党的关怀下,同心县的广大教育工作者,克服了种种困难,做了大量工作,使同心县民族教育事业有了较大发展。现在全县已有学校553所(中学17所,进修学校1所,小学535所),其中回民小学15所,回民中学1所。1984年全县学龄儿童31091人,已入学29613人,入学率达83.2％,回族儿童入学率为79.9％,回族女学龄儿童入学率达65.5％。
There are 220,000 Hui people in Tongxin County, accounting for 79%. This is an arid mountainous region with sparse population, poor economic conditions, and very backward cultural and educational undertakings. To rejuvenate one’s heart, build a mountainous area and develop ethnic education is a major event. Over the years, under the care of the party, the majority of educators in Tongxin County have overcome various difficulties and have done a great deal of work, which has greatly improved the ethnic education in Tongxin County. Now there are 553 schools in the county (17 secondary schools, 1 advanced learning school, 535 primary schools), including 15 Huimin primary schools and 1 Huimin secondary school. In 1984, there were 31,091 school-aged children in the county, 29,613 had enrolled in school, the enrollment rate was 83.2%, and the school enrollment rate of Hui children was 79.9%. The enrollment rate of female school-age children of Hui nationality was 65.5%.
