为对辽东南古生界寒武系张夏组岩性及沉积特征进行分析,通过对辽东太子河地区与辽南复州湾地区地质调查及研究,对两地区张夏组岩性进行详细划分,并对其沉积环境进行恢复.研究结果表明,区内张夏组自下而上分别为张夏组一段、二段、三段,分别为鲕粒灰岩、页岩及藻灰岩,各段间均为整合接触.通过岩性组合,环境分析,太子河盆地和复州湾盆地均为发育鲕粒滩-盆地-藻礁的缓坡-盆地相模式,参照各种沉积构造等现象,将张夏组沉积环境恢复为碳酸盐台地相.通过对第2个三级层序进行高频旋回划分对比,复州湾盆地剖面由四个四级旋回组成,而每个四级旋回层序均表现为向上海水变浅、沉积物变厚、变粗的进积型系列.
