统筹区域发展是以胡锦涛同志为总书记的党中央为了实现我国经济社会又快又好发展提出的一个总体战略。这一战略的提出,对于我们紧紧抓住21世纪头二十年的重要战略机遇期,全面建设小康社会和构建社会主义和谐社会具有重大的意义。贯彻好这一总体战略,必须坚持以科学发展观为指导,把统筹区域发展、推动东中西部良性互动建立在对客观规律的正确认识和把握的基础之上,正确处理实践中带有全局性的几个重大关系,从而把中国特色社会主义更好地推向前进。
