钢铁中金属元素的测定要求快速、灵敏、选择性好。要同时满足这些要求是比较困难的。目前多采用比色法,较少应用电分析法,为寻求适合钢铁分析要求的测定方法,本法采用硫氰酸盐和六次甲基四胺在适当酸度条件下与钢铁中常见金属元素作用生成三元络合物。其示波极谱图形良好,灵敏度比相应元素的二元络合物显著提高,并可进行多种离子连续测定。本法首先对镍的三元络合物示波极谱法进行了条件试验并测定了标钢中镍的含量,分析结果符合要求。
