泰国石膏(90％为CaSO_4·2H_2O)产地集中在北部和南部地区。总贮量估计有4000万吨。矿层不深,采用露天开采方法。出口石膏块的规格在7.6厘米和25.4厘米以下。泰国对石膏的需求在逐步缩小,出口增大(见下表)。
Thai gypsum (90% CaSO_4·2H_2O) is concentrated in the northern and southern regions. The total storage is estimated at 40 million tons. The seam is not deep and open-pit mining methods are used. The size of the export plaster blocks is 7.6 cm and 25.4 cm. The demand for gypsum in Thailand is gradually shrinking and exports are increasing (see the table below).
