一个时期以来新闻界很强调舆论监督。我举双手赞成。舆论监督是现代社会发展的必要条件,特别象我们这样一个民主和法制还不健全、权力比较集中而执政党的党风又不太正的国家,舆论监督更显其必要。现在不是舆论监督多了,而是很不够。我们经常看到,新闻界为了批评某种腐败现象,常常会遭到来自多方面的刁难,有时会使批评夭折,或者是批评揭露某一错误,以后竟然会带来许多麻烦。这种现象说明,在我们国家里,有些人还很缺乏批评自我批评精神,还很少民主作风。有些人称王称霸惯了,已经是老虎屁股摸不得。他们对舆论监督持拒抗态度。这种现象不克服,舆论监督就很难发展。当然腐败现象也就很难有效地 Since a certain period of time, the press has emphasized public opinion supervision.
