However, there is a lack of empirical research on the relationship between user innovation and IS performance, and there is no deep theoretical discussion on how to manage user innovation to improve IS performance. The performance of enterprise IS can be analyzed based on different levels. The existing research focuses on the single-level IS performance antecedents from the enterprise level or from the individual level. This dissertation, based on the departmental level, takes the departmental key users as the research object and conducts the empirical research on the influence of user innovation on IS performance for the first time and analyzes the organizational factors that affect the relationship between key user innovation and departmental IS performance to establish cross-layer interaction model. Based on the work performance theory, this dissertation proposes the research hypothesis that the key user innovation affects the IS performance of the department and its influence is influenced by the senior leadership support and the interaction level adjustment. A total of 35 questionnaires were collected at the enterprise level and 269 at the department level through questionnaire survey conducted in 35 Chinese informatization enterprises. Using HLM statistical analysis methods to carry out research hypothesis testing. The results show that key user innovation has a significant impact on departmental IS performance, and its impact is affected by the interaction level between IT department and business department, without being influenced by top-level leadership support. The research results for further reasons to explain. For the first time, this dissertation establishes cross-layer interaction theory model that key user innovation affects departmental IS performance, further analyzes the relationship between user innovation and IS performance in the future, further studies cross-layer interaction model in IS field, and further develops departmental IS performance Former research laid the foundation for the enterprise information technology and provide the corresponding theoretical reference.
