光纤制导是指利用光导纤维的信号传输作用来控制导弹飞行的技术。它的出现,克服了金属导线制导过程中完全依赖于人眼或雷达观测、线缆重量大、有效载荷低等不足,是有线制导领域的突破。为此,在1979年美国陆军提出了FOG-M光纤制导导弹这种新的光纤制导的武器系统概念。十几年来,研究计划经过多次变动,现在美国陆军已正式把光纤制导反坦克导弹研究计划调整为以反坦克为主、兼顾反直升机的导弹研究计划。
Fiber guidance refers to the use of optical fiber signal transmission to control the missile flight technology. Its emergence, to overcome the metal wire guide process completely dependent on the human eye or radar observations, cable weight, low payload, etc., is a breakthrough in the field of wire guidance. To this end, in 1979 the U.S. Army proposed the new FOG-M fiber-guided missile weapon system concept. Over the past decade or so, the research program has undergone many changes. Now the U.S. Army has formally adjusted its research plan for fiber-guided anti-tank missiles to a missile research project that is mainly anti-tank and takes into account anti-helicopters.
