Application of shoran, a variation of radar, to triangulation necessitates a new method of adjustment. In this paper various phases of the problem and the several alternatives as to the actual steps to be taken in making the adjustment are discussed. The method employed is first to determine the approximate positions of the triangla- tion stations, and then to find the corrections by the method of least squares. The formulas employed in this method have been simplified by use of the chord distance.
