【日本《朝日新闻》1981年10月16日报道】核电站产生的大量放射性固体废物,过去多用水泥固化法或沥青固化法来加以处理。据东京电力公司10月15日透露,它所属的福岛第二核电站将采用一种新的处理放射性废物方法,即塑料固化法,并要使这种方法实现商用化。这种方法和目前使用的水泥固化法相比,成本虽然要高一些,但盛装固化废物的罐将显著减少,这是此法的最大优点。将低放废物投入海洋,其发展趋势是越来越困难,于是陆上存放量将会越来越多,
[Asahi Shimbun, Japan] reported on October 16, 1981 that a large amount of radioactive solid waste generated from nuclear power plants has been treated with cement solidification or asphalt solidification in the past. According to Tokyo Electric Power Co., Ltd. on October 15, the Fukushima No. 2 nuclear power plant to which it belongs will adopt a new method of processing radioactive waste, namely the plastics curing method, and it is necessary to commercialize this method. Compared with the currently used cement solidification method, the cost of this method is higher, but the can containing solidified waste will be significantly reduced, which is the biggest advantage of this method. When low-level radioactive waste is put into the ocean, its development trend is getting more and more difficult, so the amount of land-based storage will be increasing.
