一、幼儿教育的机构五六十年代,马来西亚的幼儿园多由宗教团体、个人组织兴办,收费昂贵,是为富家子弟服务的。到70年代,国家政府部门积极发展幼儿教育事业,增加了幼儿教育机构的数量,拓宽了儿童受教育面。例如,1976年,国家联合部为不同种族的儿童创办了幼教机构;橡胶工业发展局为工人子女设置了幼儿园,等等。幼儿教育机构的迅速增加则是80年代的事。1979年,全国有幼儿园2227所,在园幼儿120618人,而到了1989年,幼儿园已增加到6959
I. Institutions for Early Childhood Education In the 1950s and 1960s, kindergartens in Malaysia were mostly set up by religious groups and individual organizations. They were expensive and served the rich and young children. By the 1970s, state government departments actively developed early childhood education, increased the number of early childhood education institutions and broadened the education of children. For example, in 1976, the National Union created preschool education programs for children of different races; the Rubber Industry Development Authority set up kindergartens for working children and so on. The rapid growth of early childhood education institutions was the 1980s.
