兴县是革命老区,曾是晋绥边区政府和司令部所在地,受自然条件限制,资源开发利用程度低,生产力发展滞后,至今仍是国家级贫困县。近两年来,县人武部在上级军事机关的正确领导下,坚持党管武装原则,得到兴县县委、政府的大力支持,筹措资金,新建了一座集办公、训练、战备、生活于一体的多功能综合基地,为做好民兵预备役各项工作打下了坚实基础。 Xingxian County is an old revolutionary base area.
