Cast iron was manufactured in China by 500 BC and has been used until now, and can be said to be closely related to people’s material. However, because flake-like graphite crystals are distributed in the structure, the strength is low, and the resistance to shock load is small, which is a disadvantage. In order to eliminate this disadvantage, the shape of graphite needs to be changed into a sphere. In 1948, Mr. H. Morrogh in the United Kingdom and A. P. Gagneb-in in the United States succeeded in this work almost simultaneously. Thus, it has been 49 years since 1988. This new cast iron material, compared with the gray cast iron that was originally used as the cheapest raw material for a long time, has only been simple
