(A) Introduction High-speed liquid chromatography (HPLC) using a spectrophotometer or a fluorescence spectrophotometer as a detector can be considered as a general purpose spectrophotometer or a fluorescence spectrophotometer with a pretreatment device. Therefore, it is expected that HPLC will make an epoch-making contribution in terms of sensitivity and selectivity in the analysis of trace metal ions using organic reagents. Historically, liquid-phase partitioned chromatography of metal complexes has been studied by the separation behavior of neutral molecules in gas chromatography and the concept of classical liquid chromatography. Even in the HPLC era, still using like dithizone
