一、背景远距离教育在缅甸已有二十年持续发展的历史。首先开展远距离教育的是1973年仰光教育学院。该院开设了两年制教育学毕业文凭教学计划。开设这一教学汁划的目的是适应中小学教师任职资格教育的需要。这一计划后来发展成两年制教育学学士教学计划。为扩大高等教育的途径和增加人们接受高等教育的机会,大学程度的函授课程是1976年在仰光文学与科学大学(theArtSandScienceUniversityYangon)的监督管理下开没的。它提供了下述四个领域的学士学位教学计划:文学类(历史、地理、哲学、心理学和缅甸语言文学)、科学类(数学、物理、化学、动物学和植物学)、经济类和法律类。除法律类为六年制外,其余科类的修业学制均为五年。
I. Background Long-distance education has a two-decade history of continuous development in Myanmar. The first to carry out distance education was the 1973 Yangon Institute of Education. The hospital opened a two-year education diploma teaching plan. The purpose of setting up this teaching plan is to meet the needs of primary and secondary school teachers in qualification education. This plan was later developed into a two-year Bachelor of Education program. To broaden the path to higher education and to increase people’s opportunities for higher education, university correspondence courses were opened in 1976 under the supervision of the ArtSand Science University in Yangon. It offers a bachelor’s degree teaching program in four areas: literature (history, geography, philosophy, psychology and Burmese linguistics), science (mathematics, physics, chemistry, zoology and botany), economics and Law class. Except for the legal category of six years, all other major programs have a five-year course of study.
