陕早2786是陕西省农科院棉花研究所以早熟、抗病、优质的辽棉7号为母本,以早熟、丰产的陕274为父本进行杂交,后代在枯黄萎混生病圃中连续筛选而育成的新品种1990年12月29日经陕西省农作物品种审定委员会审定通过。
