无产阶级文化大革命以来,在广大工人和技术人员的共同努力下,客车照明采用日光灯代替白炽灯,做出了不小的成绩。部科技委、机辆局组织三结合客车日光灯调查小组,自1974年4月13日～5月8日在北京、武汉、广州、上海铁路局等地区,对现已使用的客车日光灯进行调查,广泛听取了研究、设计、维修、使用人员的意见,对客车日光灯采用的型式取得了一致意见,并对下阶段工作做了如下安排。
