Najib Mahfouz, a well-known Egyptian essayist, was born in 1912 and once worked in the Egyptian government after graduating from college. He was the chairman of the Egyptian Film Commission. His works include the collection of novels, the “incoherent whisper,” the fictional fate of historic fiction, and “Radadis”. His new book “Thieves and Dogs” has been made into a movie. This article describes a poor young people, singing in a cafe. His wonderful voice won a lamentable compliment, giving him a ten-pound note as a reward. After singing the huge sums of money, the young people who sold their songs abandoned their families and relatives and friends and left their towns where they lived for a long time to enjoy themselves and go unrestrained. They embarked on the road to degenerative crime and were punished by law. Through this way of life of singing and singing young people, the author enlighten people: people who see money above all else, even if they are very talented will inevitably lose their place in the end. - translator
