20世纪20年代,亦步亦趋学习西洋的中国体育过分热衷“竞技体育”。《大公报》创办了专门性副刊《体育》,并以其为舆论阵地,旗帜鲜明地倡导社会体育,为刚刚发展起来的中国体育纠偏补弊。
In the 1920s, the Chinese sports that escalated to the west were overly enthusiastic about “competitive sports”. Ta Kung Pao founded a special supplement “Sports” and advocated social sports with a clear-cut stand as its position of public opinion to rectify and compensate for the newly developed Chinese sports.
