大理州中小学、幼儿园、师范院校教师住房开始有了改善,人均占有住房建筑面积14.3m~2,较一九七九年前有了很大好转。过去三代同堂、住黑屋子的状况开始有了改变。近年来,大理州各级人民政府都把改善教师住房条件作为一件大事来抓。从一九八五年起,省里下拨中小学教师宿舍建房补助 Teachers’ housing in Dali Primary and Secondary Schools, kindergartens, and teachers’ colleges began to improve, and the per capita floor space of the dwellings was 14.3m~2, which was greatly improved from before 1979.
