1986年北京国际贸易中心冷却塔投标时,阳江冷却塔在重量、噪声、温差等四项指标测试中均优于日本产品,独领风骚,一举成名。一个在外地工作的阳江人抬头看到建筑物上空冷却塔先溜溜的塔身十分感慨:阳江的产品,为什么不在上面挂上“阳江”两字,让阳江人在外地看了也自豪。厂部很快接受了这个建议,从此,“美景”的牌子反而让人淡忘,而大大的仿宋体“阳江”二字则十分醒目地屹立在一些城市高大的建筑物上。
When the cooling tower of the Beijing International Trade Center was tendered in 1986, the Yangjiang cooling tower outperformed Japanese products in terms of weight, noise, and temperature difference, and became famous. A Yangjiang person working in the field looked up and saw that the tower on which the cooling tower was gliding over the building felt very much: Yangjiang’s products, why not put the word “Yangjiang” on it, and Yangjiang people also looked proud in the field. The factory department quickly accepted this proposal. Since then, the “beauty” brand has been forgotten. The “Yangjiang” word, which is a large imitation of the Song Dynasty, stands on some tall buildings in the city.
