As the province of China which has the longest boundary line and the largest number of neighboring countries, Xinjiang has a natural geographical advantage in the international exchange and cooperation. Xinjiang puts forwards that if Xinjiang wants to expand the international exchange and cooperation, enhance the cultural influence of Xinjiang and highlight the cultural charm, then firstly it should fully utilize its geographical advantage and the advantage that ethnic minorities in Xinjiang share the same language, approximate customs and similar habits with surrounding countries to output excellent publications of Xinjiang through channels of copyright trade, commodity export and setting publishing agencies in surrounding countries, implement cooperative projects with countries like Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Turkey, and enhance the influence and propagation of Chinese culture. Secondly it will actively plan publishing exchanges activities, and will organize publishing agencies in its region to join exhibitions actively through platforms such as the activity with China being the guest of honor in the International Istanbul Book Fair in 2013, “Silk Road Exhibition” held in Kazakhstan in April, and so on.
