洛阳地处黄河中游,水资源十分丰富,境内河流纵横,水库林立,池塘滩涂星罗棋布。据统计,目前发源或流经洛阳市的河流有10余条,如黄河、洛河、伊河、涧河、瀍河等。水库109座,其中大型水库4座,有小浪底、西霞院、陆浑、故县等,中型水库11个,小型水库94个;全市总水面面积5万ha,位居全省第3,水产养殖面积9万ha,水产产量5.1万吨,渔业总产值9.2亿元,位居全省第9。
