本文以两大认知语言学理论——突显观和注意观为基础,试图探讨英语句法变异的认知动因。通过对相关数据的详细分析,本文可以得出如下结论——词序和语态方面的句法变异是由人们在不同场合下不同的注意点引起的。该论文旨在为句法变异的起因提供全新的认知阐释,从而丰富由拉波夫发起的语言变异研究。同时深化人们的语言知识,从而能更好地利用变化中的语言。
Based on the two theories of cognitive linguistics - prominence and attention, this article attempts to explore the cognitive motivation of English syntactic variation. Through detailed analysis of related data, this paper draws the conclusion that syntactic variations in word order and voice are caused by different points of attention on different occasions. The purpose of this thesis is to provide a brand new cognitive explanation for the causes of syntactic variation and to enrich the study of linguistic variation initiated by Rabob. While deepening people’s linguistic knowledge, thus making better use of changing languages.
