It has been reported that the methanol extract of the tree bark of Swietenia mahagoni has a significant inhibitory effect on the activity of HIV-PR. Therefore, the author conducted further research on mahogany, using a biologically active guided separation method, from mahogany methanol. The HIV-PR inhibiting substance was isolated from the extract. The dried mahogany bark was taken, powdered, and extracted with methanol at room temperature.
