歌德在《浮士德》结尾写道:“永恒之女性,引导我们走。”女性天然的细腻、柔美、敏锐、和平,以及持之以恒的耐心和坚忍的毅力,让人类越来越意识到女性的这种特质,女性也将这种优势运用到设计之中。从20世纪初起,设计就是为男性所主宰的世界,他们遍布在工业、工程及建筑等领域;女性长久以来都是缺席的。在近一个世纪后,女性设计师终于跃居第一线,在工业设计、室内设计、建筑设计直至整个家居相关产业的发展史上,扮演着重要角色。
