With the direct concern of the People’s Government of Yunnan Province and the strong support from the provinces and autonomous regions in western China and the Disaster Relief Society of China, the first “Experience Sharing Conference on Disaster Mitigation and Disaster Mitigation in Western China” was held in Kunming from December 15 to 20, 1992.
