今年8月初,在举国迎接北京奥运会之际,第18届世界翻译大会将在上海召开。翻译作为中外文化交流的桥梁和纽带,在加强对外文化交流,吸收各国优秀文明成果,增强中华文化国际影响力方面,担负着重要的历史使命和社会责任。在新的历史起点上,要从国家发展战略的高度,进一步认识、关注和推进中国翻译事业的发展。
In early August this year, when the entire country welcomes the Beijing Olympic Games, the 18th World Translation Conference will be held in Shanghai. As a bridge and link between Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges, translation plays an important historical mission and social responsibility in strengthening foreign cultural exchanges, absorbing the achievements of outstanding civilizations in various countries and enhancing the international influence of Chinese culture. At the new historical starting point, we must further understand, concern and promote the development of China’s translation work from the perspective of the national development strategy.
