To evaluate ovulation suppression and fertility, 5 different release rates of 3-ketosalpinostat (3-keto DSG) were studied. 3-keto DSG is a biologically active metabolite of DSG. It has weaker androgens and anabolic activities and strong anti-estrogen (E) activity. It has no E and mineralocorticoid activity and has little effect on lipoproteins. Because of its high efficiency, it can inhibit the fertility by implanting a single dose of low-dose silicone implant, so it is suitable for contraception of implants. Three Silicone Implants of 1, 2 and 4 cm in length were provided by the Population Council of the United States (PC) with in vivo release rates of 10, 20 and 40 μg / day, respectively.
