Since joining the World Economic Forum this club more than 30 years ago, Davos, a figure of China’s political heavyweights, was absent for the first time in the Year of the Dragon. Some Western media interpret this dramatic change as a sign that China is growing more confident. They think that with the rapid economic development in China, a marked increase in overall strength and the trend of shifting global power accelerated from the West to the East after the global financial crisis, in terms of its importance, the World Economic Forum has become increasingly more and more important to China Like a tasteless job, China now does not need to use it to send messages and express goodwill to the West.
