美国华裔女作家吴梅于1998年发表了小说《裸体吃中餐》。小说主要围绕华裔女大学生罗璧一家展开,讲述了普通华裔家庭在美国的生存状况,通过对一些琐碎小事的描述,较为全面地展示了女主人公的家庭关系以及社会关系。与此同时,《裸体吃中餐》也是后现代主义在华裔美国文学中非常重要的体现。小说通篇并没有什么惊天动地的事件发生,整个文本充满了非连续性和不确定性,而这也正是后现代主义小说的主要特征,笔者将通过对“不确定性”的研究来更好的理解这部小说。
