最近,研究出一种新的调频立体声广播系统,它能与现行制式兼容,并可给出更高的接收信噪比和更大的立体声接收区域。该制式增加了一冗余信道,允许在发射端采用斜率为∞:1或更大一些的幅度压缩器;在接收端则用自适应型扩展器进行完全互补的还原。这种新的音频压缩扩展方式比普通的降噪方法具有更多的优点。
Recently, a new FM stereo broadcasting system has been developed which is compatible with the current system and can give a higher received signal-to-noise ratio and a larger stereo receiving area. This scheme adds a redundant channel allowing the use of an amplitude compressor with a slope of ∞: 1 or greater at the transmitter and a fully complementary restore with an adaptive expander at the receiver. This new audio compression extension method has more advantages than the ordinary noise reduction method.
