中学英语学习仍是打语言基础的阶段,因此,即便在泛读训练中也应适当安排让学生有听说读写的机会,这样可弥补他们无机会听说读写的缺陷。尤其到了高中,一般学生缺少初中时期涌跃发言的那种热情。高中学生大都掌握了800—1000的英语词汇,已具备了用简单词汇,常用句型写短文的能力。倘若在教学中有的放矢地让他们常开口,多动笔,对提高学生四会能力,进一步培养学习外语的兴趣,无疑是一大促进。笔者就高中泛读教学曾进行过一番尝试。在进行提高学生阅读理解力的教字时,采用听说读写四
English learning in secondary schools is still the stage of language foundation. Therefore, even in the process of extensive reading training, students should be properly arranged to have the opportunity of listening, speaking, reading and writing. This can make up for the lack of opportunities for them to speak and read and write. Especially in high schools, the average student lacks the kind of enthusiasm that springs up during junior high school. Most high school students have mastered 800-1000 English vocabulary, and have the ability to write short essays using simple vocabulary and common sentence patterns. If we have targeted them in teaching, they often speak and write more frequently. This will undoubtedly be a great boost to students’ ability to improve the four sessions and further cultivate their interest in learning foreign languages.
