The use of parallel plate ionization chambers to measure doses in therapeutic electronics and photon beams aims to study the accuracy of the data and procedures included in the new implementation regulations. In addition, differences from existing recommendations will be quantified to analyze the likely effects on patient dosimetry. The purpose of the application-oriented photon data compilation and evaluation is to create a data file on the evaluated photoreaction cross-section. Corresponding radionuclides should include natural elements and isotopes of interest in biomaterials, structural materials and shielding materials as well as actinides, fission products and several other elements. The structural integrity of the reactor pressure vessels is guaranteed to facilitate international exchange of information, operational guidance on reactor pressure vessel monitoring, and development and evaluation of a uniform sample testing procedure for assessing the structural integrity of RPVs.
