Recently, the United States Department of Mines published 5765 research report summarizes the results of lead-zinc flotation study. It is generally accepted that when the particle size is small enough to fall below a certain limit, the recovery rate decreases gradually; a survey of 20 operating mines indicates that the current practical particle size limit is ~ 25% -20 μm for lead-zinc flotation.
