N-膦酰基甲基甘氨酸的生产方法将N-膦酰基甲基亚氨基二乙酸在含Mn、Fe、Co、Cu或Ni的炭催化剂存在下,与氧气反应。生成N-膦酰基甲基甘氨酸。本发明通过催化剂及氧化剂控制氧化程度,使目标产物选择性好,收率高;通过对反应体系中甲醛的去除,使草甘膦或其盐质量稳定;通过对反应体系中杂质的除弃,反应母液可以套用5~6次,制取固体草甘膦不仅能耗低,而且收率高。
