1982年9月29日上午,太原铁路局在太原站第一站台隆重举行了阳泉——太原段电气化铁路通车典礼。国家经委、煤炭部、水电部、铁道部以及山西省、太原市的负责同志参加了通车典礼。石太线是我国第一条复线电气化铁路,全长235公里。石家庄至阳泉段为117公里,已于1980年9月通车,阳泉至太原北站段为118公里,比原计划提前三个月建成。石太电气化铁路位于太行山区,地理条件复杂,桥梁隧道较多,它是晋煤外运的重要通道,全线开通后,将使运输能力成倍提高。同时,它的建成将为我国今后修建复线电气化铁路提供宝贵经验。
On the morning of September 29, 1982, Taiyuan Railway Bureau held the grand opening ceremony of the Yangquan-Taiyuan Section electrified railway at the first platform of Taiyuan Railway Station. The State Economic Commission, Ministry of Coal, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Railways and responsible comrades in Shanxi Province and Taiyuan attended the opening ceremony. Stone too line is the first double-track electrified railway in China, a total length of 235 km. Shijiazhuang to Yangquan section of 117 km, was opened in September 1980, Yangquan to Taiyuan North Station section of 118 km, three months earlier than originally planned to be completed. Shi Tai Electrification Railway is located in the Taihang Mountains, the complex geographical conditions, more bridges and tunnels, which is an important channel of coal out of Jin, opening across the board, will enable transport capacity doubled. At the same time, its completion will provide valuable experience for the future construction of double-track electrified railway in our country.
