近年来,社会的发展对高职英语专业教学提出了更高的要求,而当前高职高专英语教学现状――生源少,生源质量差,英语课程的教学尤其是英语泛读教学已经陷于尴尬的境地:“费时低效”是对现状的最严厉评判。本文从高职高专院校英语专业的基本要求和教学目标入手,从而对目前我国高职院校英语泛读课教学的现状与问题进行了较为全面的分析,针对如何完善教学方法和构建新型教学模式,提出了对高职英语泛读课程教学发展与改革的几点思考和应对策略。
