以毛泽东为代表的中国共产党人把群众路线思想同中国革命和建设的实际相结合,通过对中国传统文化中“民本思想”的批判和继承,系统的阐明了践行群众路线的重要性。同时,要求党和政府应把“群众”作为工作核心,通过依靠群众、走进群众来完成建设工作。“群众路线”的形成不仅是党政治、思想和组织领导的根本保证,而且成为了毛泽东思想活的中心内容。特别是抗战时期“群众路线”已经开始进入到了相对成熟的发展阶段,这一时期的毛泽东群众路线思想具有鲜明的特色,它对推进我国和谐社会建设、民主政治建设以及党风廉政建设具有重要的现实意义。
