惯用的外照射放疗,对肝细胞癌(HCC)疗效有限,目前不作为一种可供选用的治疗方法,因为有严重副作用(例如使已有肝硬化的肝脏发生肝衰)所以不能完成足够大剂量、足够长时间(以达到抗癌作用)的放疗.一种新的、应用质子束的放疗,已成功地用于治疗某些恶性肿瘤.质子束的布雷格巅值辐照(bragg peak)能限制质子束的分布,而减少对非靶区的辐射,增强对靶组织的攻击.作者应用质子照射疗法治疗了11例HCC患者.
Conventional external beam radiotherapy has limited curative effect on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and is currently not an available treatment because it has serious side effects (such as hepatic failure in livers with existing liver cirrhosis) and cannot be made large enough. Radiotherapy with doses and long enough (to achieve anti-cancer effects). A new radiotherapy using proton beams has been successfully used to treat certain malignancies. Bragg peaks of proton beams. Can limit the distribution of the proton beam, and reduce the radiation of non-target areas, and enhance the attack on the target tissue. The authors used proton irradiation therapy for 11 patients with HCC.
