《牡丹亭》是明代伟大剧作家汤显祖的巅峰之作,作品成功地塑造了一个敢想、敢爱、敢死、敢生、敢于追求自由幸福的反封建礼教的艺术形象——杜丽娘。她有着强烈的自我觉醒的意识,敢于冲破了封建伦理的束缚,同时,她又是一个矛盾的结合体,人性的舒展和理学的禁锢在她身上交织。其人物形象中透露出的对人性和生命的独立的思考,具有普遍的社会意义,立足于当下也有颇多借鉴之处。
