侯德封字洛(?),著名地质学家,河北省高阳县人.1923年毕业于北京大学地质系.曾任山东莱阳县中学教员.1926年起,先后在河南中原煤业公司、北平实业部地质调查所,太原晋绥矿产测探局等单位从事地质调查和科研工作.1937年抗战爆发后,任四川省地质调查所技正,1942年任该所所长.抗战胜利后,1946年到南京中央地质调查所任技正,兼陈列馆主任.解放后,1950年任中国地质工作计划指导委员会委员,兼任中国科学院地质研究所代所长、一级研究员,
Hou Defeng Luo (?), a famous geologist, was born in Gaoyang County, Hebei Province. He graduated from the Department of Geology of Peking University in 1923. He used to be a teacher in Shandong Laiyang Middle School. Since 1926, he has worked in Henan Zhongyuan Coal Industry Company, Peiping. The Institute of Geological Survey of the Ministry of Industry, Taiyuan Jinci Mineral Exploration and Exploration Bureau and other units engaged in geological surveys and scientific research work. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War in 1937, he served as the technical director of the Sichuan Provincial Institute of Geological Survey and served as the director of the Institute in 1942. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, 1946 In the year, he went to Nanjing Central Geological Survey to serve as the director of Ji Zheng and Exhibition Hall. After liberation, he served as a member of the Steering Committee of the China Geological Work Plan in 1950, and concurrently served as acting director and researcher of the Institute of Geology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
