苏州历来是人文荟萃之地,素有鱼米之乡、工艺之都、文教之邦、丝绸之府、状元之乡等称号,吴门书画、园林、昆曲、刺绣享誉海内外,名门俊杰,精彩纷呈,生于晚清、逝于抗战时期的苏州人吴梅就是第一个在大学传播曲学的大家。吴氏世家多才俊吴氏是苏州的名门望族,到了清嘉庆六年(1801年)一位叫吴廷琛的读书人让吴家扬眉吐气,他高中状元,为吴家开了好头。吴廷琛,字震南,号棣华,自曾祖到父亲吴文奎,都是贡生,吴状元为前辈争足了面子。三十年后,吴廷琛的堂侄吴钟骏(1799—1853)于道光十二年(1832)得
Suzhou has always been a place where people can enjoy the arts.
