Cary argues that cinema is a visual and pictorial art. These pictures are the illusion of movement rather than movement. The way we invest in movies is through imagination rather than belief. Understanding the text is loyalty to the text rather than to the author The intention is to conceive the co-authored author in order to construct the coherence meaning of the text. Fictitiousness is the product of the fictitious intention. The fictional truth consists of the open belief in the text and the community in which the fictitious author lives. The emotional response is a “kind of emotion.” Cary’s aesthetic theory has a greater academic influence, arousing academic debate.
