岩石化学计算的目的主要有二:一是岩石学目的,即为了恢复原岩矿物成分;二是地球化学目的,即找出岩石化学中有指示意义的数值特征或比值特征,以便进行岩相对比,圈定有利成矿部位,指导技矿勘探。显然,采取样品的代表性和样品加工处理及化验分析的准确性,是岩石化学计算必须具备的前提。在这个前提下,合理的岩石化学计算方法的拟定和选择,就是摆在我们面前的课题。《基性岩超基性岩岩石化学计算和分类》一文(作者高纪璞、李军,刊载《西北地质科枝情报》1978年第4期,以下简称《计算和分类》)提出了对有关岩石的化学计算方法——“比值法”,为了进一步探讨这个问题,特写成本文与高、李二同志商榷,并望读者批评指正。
