编者按：杭州姑娘李岳留学澳洲，毕业后在悉尼工作。今年春节前后，她每天发回一些文字介绍自己过年的情况，我们摘编选登，从平常事中看一个别具特色的海外中国年。

2012年1月16日（农历腊月廿三 小年）
下班后我去了Apple的住处，是她房东秦阿姨相邀的，说“咱山东民谣‘二十三，糖瓜粘’，就是要祭灶过小年”。在海外，华人之间特别亲切友善，我也就一点不客气。
饭菜丰盛。厨房另摆一桌，供着用饴糖和面做的糖瓜点心，祈祷灶王爷少到玉帝面前说坏话，以使来年生活幸运。哈哈！
这是我第一次过小年，也是今年第一次感到春节的气息。回来睡觉前，我和国内的爸妈通过网络视频聊天，特别加一句：小年快乐！
2012年1月19日（农历腊月廿六）
萱草更新了博客，说前一阵没空，每天下班排练联欢会的节目。
国内的公司临近春节纷纷举办各种年会。澳洲不同，这里的公司讲究学习，平日里安排非常多，金融危机、欧债风暴、世界经济萎缩，都有演讲，但自愿参加。从充实社会内容看，讲座不容错过，但国内的欢庆年会更有生活气息和人情味，让人心里暖洋洋的。
2012年1月21日（农历腊月廿八）
今天休息，去了鼎鼎大名的悉尼歌剧院。
今年1月7日至29日，这里举行全世界著名的悉尼艺术节。以前读书手头不宽，现在有点小钱，我当然不会错过这样的机会。
在歌剧院“高雅”之后，我去了唐人街，那里堆满中国年货、扎满中国同胞。买了两个烟花装饰筒和一个绒毛龙、一本《春联集锦》。新春属龙，是老爸的本命年；让绒毛龙在床头荡悠。澳洲禁止私下燃放烟花；装饰筒摆在窗口，不然明天在大洋彼岸的大年夜，我会用它驱赶寂寞，给自己过得快乐一点。嘿嘿。
2012年1月22日（农历腊月廿九 除夕）
今天除夕，晚上年夜饭一大帮子人在一家饺子馆AA制。包饺子过年最有代表性。
许多人身着红色的喜庆服饰，互相派发压岁钱，有滋有味地饮茶谈笑，我们这伙年轻人的乡情得到了不少的慰藉。
有人提议去华人俱乐部打麻将，有人提议去重庆火锅店吃夜宵，我都谢绝。时差三小时，回去上网，看央视春晚，又好和国内亲人一同守岁。
顺手发了一批格式化贺年卡的邮件，贺语从《春联集锦》中选，比“恭喜发财”“吉祥安康”俗套强。
北京时间十二点，钟声悠扬响起。可惜听不见西子湖上南屏晚钟的层山回应。我给长辈视频拜年，奶奶听到我的声音格外兴奋，一个劲说：好好好。

两位华人员工放一天假。从内心感谢公司的贴心。《悉尼晨报》载，昨天总理吉拉德和各国政要一样，发表对中国新年的贺词，祝愿华人在龙年享受美好的生活质量，万事如意。
上午出门，碰见房东新西兰人Thorpe先生，他居然知道中国春节快乐，笑着说了一大通祝福，我忙不迭地“thank you”“ thank you”再“thank you”。
先找Apple，她的公司也给她放了假。秦阿姨一家一早开车去卧龙港的南天寺烧头香祈福，这是多数华人的选择；没拜上年，留下老妈寄来的山核桃。原想会会那位有意思的港哥，前几天他发短信回香港了。唉，自己开公司就不一样，要走就走。
逛唐人街也是华人过春节的最喜爱的方式。德信城步行街彩饰得一片红红火火，有各种庆祝活动，舞花伞颇精彩。舞龙表演虽然老形式，但烘托出来的气氛，让人感觉整个悉尼的每个角落都散发着华人浓浓的思乡之情和浓郁的中华文化韵味。我俩在那里逗留了半天。路过图书馆看迎春纸艺展，很有中国味；刻剪折叠，有澳洲小朋友在现场学习。时间尚早，又去维多利亚女王市场，国内游客不少，那里挂着中国龙，但更多的是恐龙！大笑一阵！老外有良好的祝愿，因为这里是旅游购物景点！
本准备晚上找国内同学视频聊天，结果一个都不在，各自“疯”过年！
2012年1月24日（农历正月初二）
白天上班并不忙，但感觉特别累。晚上敲一阵键盘，选看了两部下载的影片《倾城之泪》《那些年，我们一起追过的女孩》，借以休息。
2012年1月25日（农历正月初三）
下班回来收拾自己的房间，买了些花花草草布置好，很有家的感觉和新春的喜气。
旅居海外，最头痛的事是烧饭菜。国内的菜蔬基本都有，但平常时间、精力不够，将就对付。本地最出名的龙虾、鲍鱼、皇帝蟹买不起，今天烧些简单的海鲜。
叫Apple来，她说没有雪菜豆腐汤，作罢！心灰意懒！
“嘀嘀嘀”，QQ来消息。悦己悦人手捧托盘，上面一副台湾朱妈妈的大饼油条，压着“恭贺新禧”红色笺条。哼，自己跟男朋友跑去墨尔本看澳网，同我却“恶搞”。
和老妈网络联系，老妈说，傻丫头想家啦；又说，过年还是国内好嘞。
2012年1月26日（农历正月初四）
今天是澳大利亚的国庆节，放假。我和几个朋友坐车去首都堪培拉，感受庆祝。
草地野餐、现场音乐会、盛大的烟花汇演和格里芬湖的喷泉……
中国国庆同样热烈，但春节是中国最民族、最传统、最隆重的节庆，也应该有这样的狂欢。
2012年1月27日（农历正月初五）
同事说，今天“破五”，华人街大都店家供奉起财神，去看看？我没兴趣。回家路上买了《澳洲星岛日报》《澳洲新报》的周末版，这两份中文报纸影响比较大，还可以得到赠送的杂志。收收心，努力工作。

2012年1月28日（农历正月初六）
放假，想多睡一会儿。迷糊中雨儿来电话，说毕业一年多了，今天路过悉尼一定见见面。我们相约在动物园。可爱的考拉玩够了，树上睡觉。
到今天，国内的春节假期将结束，悉尼这边只有唐人街招幌的飘飘气息。分手时我们哼《新年歌》。中国春节为什么没有自己的歌，唱遍全世界？□

My 2012 Chinese New Year in Sydney

I went to see Apple after work at the invitation of her landlord Aunt Qin. Aunty said the 23rd of lunar 12th month was the day to bribe the Kitchen God with candy. The day is considered a prelude to Spring Festival. As overseas Chinese are especially friendly to each other, I accepted the invitation gladly.
What a banquet! On another table in the kitchen was barley sugar and sweet pastry, a special bribery to the Kitchen God so that he would abstain from badmouthing us while making his annual report to the Jade Emperor.
I video-chatted with dad and mom back home before going to bed. Before I said goodbye I said happy quasi Spring Festival!
January 21, 2012 (28th of lunar December)
I attended a program of Sydney Festival at Sydney Opera House.
The opera house hosts Sydney Festival from January 7th t0 29th every year. After the show, I went to China Town. The town was full of Chinese commodities for the Spring Festival and full of Chi-
nese people. I bought two decorated tubes (imitation fireworks), a fluffy dragon toy, and a book which is a collection of Spring Festi-val couplets. The dragon toy is for dad. He was born in the year of dragon. The decorated tubes are now on the window: though people are not allowed to set off fireworks here in Australia, the two imita-tion fireworks are here to accompany me through tomorrow, the eve
of the Spring Festival.
January 22, 2012 (29th of lunar December, the eve of Spring Festival)
I went to a Spring Festival dinner at a Jiaozi restaurant with a large group of people. We went Dutch for the Jiaozi banquet. Many

were dressed in the traditional red and gave good-luck cash in small red packets to children. People sat down and chatted over a cup of tea. The get-together was surely a huge consolation for us the young people who missed home and the Spring Festival celebrations at home.
After the Jiaozi Dinner, we had different ideas for more activities into the night. Someone suggested playing mahjong at a Chinese club and someone suggested a midnight snack at a Chongqing hot-pot restaurant. I declined all the offers and came back home. It was just the time to watch the CCTV’s New Year gala online to wel-come the New Year in with the people back home. I emailed a large group of New Year cards to relatives and friends, using some Spring Festival couplets from the book I had bought the day before.
At midnight, I video-connected with home back in Hangzhou and said Happy New Year to elders. Granny was excited and happy to hear my voice, saying “good, good, good” repeatedly.
January 23, 2012 (1st of lunar January, Spring Festival)
Thanks to the generosity of our South African boss, he gave us two Chinese employees a day off for the Spring Festival. The Syd-ney Morning Herald reported that Prime Minister Julia Gillard is-sued a message in celebration of Chinese New Year yesterday.
I ran into Mr. Thorpe, our landlord, this morning on my way out.
I was amazed to find he was mouthful of Spring Festival greetings.
Smiling from ear to ear, I said “Thank you” repeatedly.
I went to see Apple. Her company also gave her a day off for the Spring Festival.
Taking a walk through China Town is the most popular way for the local Chinese to celebrate the Spring Festival. The pedestrian’s street was heavily decorated for the festival. There were many Chi-nese visitors from home, having their holiday in Sydney. Paddy’s Market was a big venue for a series of festivities. The umbrella dance was brilliant. The dragon dance, though quite traditional, was great, adding a Chinese touch to Sydney. Apple and I wandered about for a long while there. A paper-cutting competition was in high swing at the library. Some Australian kids were learning how

to fold and cut the paper artwork. We still had some time, so we went to Queen Victoria Building (a prosperous marketplace housed in the restored old railway station). We saw quite a few drag-ons, some being Chinese dragons and many being dinosaurs. We laughed.
January 27, 2012 (5th of lunar January)
The colleague informed me that 5th of lunar January is the day to welcome God of Fortune. Shops in China Town choose this day to pray to the god for prosperity. On my way back home, I bought the weekend editions of Singtao Daily and Australian Chinese Daily, two major local Chinese newspapers.
January 28, 2012 (6th of lunar January)
Saturday is day off. Rain called and wanted to seem me as she was passing through Sydney today. We agreed to meet at the zoo. Koalas were sleeping in trees. They must have been tired too. When we were about to say goodbye to each other, we hummed Happy New Year. Why don’t we have a song for the Chinese New Year so that we can sing it wherever we are in the world? □

龙年春节，小商品王国义乌充满着中国年的气氛，挂灯笼、赏花灯、观舞龙、贴春联……大街小巷一派祥瑞景象。
义乌常驻有来自世界各国的1.3万余名外商，中国传统佳节与文化正在走进这些外国人的心中。
德国人奔德：贴春联谈感受
龙年春节到了，在义乌经商的德国商人奔德，也学着中国人的过年模样，在义乌自家房子门楣上贴起了红红的春联。奔德的春联也是用中文的行书写的，上联为：商城义乌政通人和；下联是：异国商人安居乐业；横批为：风水宝地。兴高采烈的奔德指着这副对联跟我们说：“这副春联我是专门请人写的，表达了我们一家这些年在义乌的真实感受。 ”
出生在德国不来梅的奔德今年50岁，身材高大魁梧，戴一副金丝眼镜，言行举止颇有些绅士风度。
奔德2000年就来到了义乌，十多年来，奔德不但收获了爱情、播种了希望，而且也成就了事业。婚后，奔德与妻子郭忠华有了两个可爱的孩子，并在义乌江边买下一幢5层的楼房。
生活安定，事业有成。深深爱上义乌的奔德，连两个孩子的取名也注入了中国和谐社会建设的元素，儿子叫和平，女儿叫平安。

奔德2000年就来到了义乌，十多年来，奔德不但收获了爱情、播种了希望，而且也成就了事业。婚后，奔德与妻子郭忠华有了两个可爱的孩子，并在义乌江边买下一幢5层的楼房。
生活安定，事业有成。深深爱上义乌的奔德，连两个孩子的取名也注入了中国和谐社会建设的元素，儿子叫和平，女儿叫平安。
