英国一家公司研制成功一种充气球,能够堵往需要修理的管道,当球进入管道随着液体或气体流到需要的部位后,按照无线电信号打开压缩气钢瓶的阀门,球就会充气膨胀到直径等于管道直径为止,从而把管道死死堵住,发出另一个信号气体就会从球中自动放出,从而使石油或气体重新流动。这种充气球塞在英国北海油田水下管道中已试用成功。公司技术经理说,这种无线电信号是保密的。迄今为止,人们认为在钢铁管道中不能通过无线电信号,而我们试验成功了。
A British company has developed an inflatable ball that can block pipelines that require repairs. When the ball enters the pipeline where the liquid or gas flows to the desired location, the gas cylinders are opened in response to radio signals and the ball is inflated. The diameter is equal to the diameter of the pipe, so that the pipe is blocked and another signal gas is sent out from the ball automatically, so that the oil or gas flows again. This inflatable ball plug has been successfully tested in the British North Sea oilfield underwater pipeline. The company’s technical manager said that this radio signal is confidential. So far, people believe that radio signals cannot be passed through steel pipelines, and our experiments have been successful.
