我国知名农经专家、北京大学中国经济研究中心主任林毅夫博士,前不久在一次有关我国农业发展前景的论坛会上认为,加入WTO之后,我国农产品出口要方便得多。林博士认为,从我国与美国、欧盟等主要成员国的双边谈判所达成的农业协议来看,加入WTO并不像有些人担心的那样,意味着我国农业的“灾难”。相反,只要抓住机会,遵循比较优势原则,对农业结构和农业政策加以调整,“入世”将是我国农业经济、农民收入迈上一个新台阶的大好机会。据林博士介绍,在我国加入WTO的双边谈判中,与美国达成的
Dr. Lin Yifu, a well-known Chinese agricultural expert and director of China Center for Economic Research at Peking University, not long ago said at a forum on the prospects of China’s agricultural development that after China’s accession to the WTO, China’s exports of agricultural products will be much more convenient. Dr. Lin believes that the accession to the WTO, unlike some people’s concerns, means the “catastrophe” of agriculture in China, from the perspective of agricultural agreements reached by bilateral negotiations between China and the major member countries such as the United States and the European Union. On the contrary, as long as we seize this opportunity and follow the principle of comparative advantage and adjust our agricultural structure and agricultural policies, “WTO accession” will be a good opportunity for China’s agricultural economy and peasants’ income to reach a new level.
