2011年2月底,新浪微博用户数达到了1亿。应该说在过去的一年里,微博是中国互联网上最红火的一个应用,也是用户发展速度最快的一个应用。在这1亿用户当中,通过移动终端使用微博的人数超过了50%,甚至更多。可以说新浪微博是跟移动互联网结合得非常成功的产物。在采访中,新浪CEO曹国伟表示,新浪微博最直接的竞争对手是腾讯,就用户基础和社交网络来说,人人网和开心网也是比较重要的竞争对手。但是面对竞争,曹国伟坦言新浪微博很有自信。
